The Seghesio winery in Sonoma that made wines like Mediocre Cabernet and Chardonnay, which is made by, purchased grapes and outdated equipment generating feeble profits is discussed. The success stems from improved farming of older Zinfandel sites and efforts of Phil Freeze, the highly regarded vineyard expert.

Sonoma showcase serves up a weekend of relaxed fun

The 21st Annual Sonoma Showcase of Wine and Food, CA, took place in July 2001 and the many and diverse products of the area were displayed. The occasion raised almost $405,000 for charity with seventy wineries and forty chefs taking part.
