Article Abstract:
A brief account on seven winemakers in the Sonoma County who are nonconformist pioneers of the region with regard to making wines is presented. Patrick Campbell, Tony and Phil Coturri, Tom Dehlinger, Louis Foppiano, David Hirsch and Tom Jordan are dedicated to their unconventional winemaking activities such as producing uncommon wines and making wines as organically as possible.

Sonoma County, CA, is a land of diversity with a wild coastline and lush inland areas. The county is divided into four, Sonoma Valley, Northern Sonoma, Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast, each has their own attractions and excellent restaurants and wineries to visit.
