Frederick Stevens, former CEO at wine retail chain Fred Meyer, is trying to sell the first six bottles of Robert Drouhin's first Oregon Pinot Noir, which Stevens bought for $5,300 at an auction. The same vintage of 1988 Drouhin Pinots are selling for about $30 retail and should not be cellared for any more than about five more years.

Northern exposure: Portland Hotel takes wine as its theme

Oregon rolls out the Pinot
