The New York City Fire Museum, which is housed in a beautifully restored firehouse in the SoHo district of lower Manhattan in New York, contains an extensive collection of historical artifacts and fire-related art and equipment in the US. The museum's third floor is rented out for catered private functions.

The little-noticed Manhattan headquarters of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York conceals grand interiors. The Grand Lodge Room itself has the dimensions of a cathedral, and the offices, conference chambers, lounges and library are all lavishly decorated.
