Liberty Hill Farm in Rochester, Vermont, is the Kennett family's working farm, that is also a farm-stay inn, where families can stay and learn about farming. Beth Kennett does all the cooking and baking for the inn, and her home-made meals include a turkey or a roast, fresh vegetables, fruit pies, and homemade bread.

Corn and apples line the 124-mile loop known as the Route des Ciders. Quebec orchardists freeze, ferment and distill their ciders, something their US counterparts would rarely do, since in Quebec, ciders contain more depth, dimension and alcohol, making for a perfect wine-drinking experience.
