Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a village in the Apennines of Abruzzo, which was home to about 3000 Abruzzese during the 1800s, is left with about 110 people by the end of 20th century. Daniel Elow Kilhlgren, the Swedish-Italian investor who saw San Stefano while touring Abruzzo has joint hands with architect Oriano Di Zio to preserve the architect of the place, while renewing the cultural life.
