Rain or shine: recent Bordeaux vintages
Article Abstract:
Wines produced from grapes grown in the Bordeaux region of France will have different tastes each year, depending on how the weather affected the grape crops. Wines from the 1991 crop received critical acclaim, yet they are few in number because of weather. The crops from 1989-95 are discussed.

Brave new Monterey

Monterey County, California has become the region's top wine producer with wineries such as Jekel Vineyards, Ventana Vineyards, Morgan Winery, and Bernardus Vineyards. The vineyards produce choice varieties of Merlot, Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Chardonnay.
