The French wine-producing region known as the Medoc is a triangular peninsula of farm country between Lesoarre and the Gironde. The region and several wines of its wines are described including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The salon des vins of the Confederation Nationale des Caves is a wine tasting event held in April and December in Paris. Rare and classic vintages such as Faugeres, Bugey, Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Armagnacs are available at the event.

Alsace: the best of everything
Article Abstract:
Nowhere is regional food and wine so well-matched as in Alsace. A wine tasting tour of the region revealed 1989 and 1990 vintages to be superb. A 1989 Chasselas is grand but austere, while the 1990 is sumptuous and sensuous.
