Three cases of comprehensive dietary therapy and pharmacotherapy of patients with complex obesity-related diseases
Article Abstract:
Three case studies of patients whose weight was an impediment to an improvement in other high-risk conditions showed quick weight loss by using medication that simulates anorexia could decrease patients' morbidity rate. The dangers of sleep apnea can be reduced through weight loss. Anorectic medicine can help patients with adult diabetes control their food cravings and blood sugar levels. People suffering with fatty livers that are not due to excessive drinking experienced better liver function with medication.

Diarrhea induced by enteral feeding
Article Abstract:
Eternal feeding (EF) causes a number of medical complications out of which diarrhea has been reported to constitute 68%. Diarrhea in turn causes metabolic problems and malnutrition. But, studies on patients affected show that diarrhea in these cases can also be caused by antibiotics and the EF fluid should be changed only as a last resort. However, study of the causes and treatment of EF-related diarrhea is hampered by the fact that researchers do not agree on the exact definition of diarrhea.

Enteral feeding associated gastroesophageal reflux and aspiration pneumonia: a review
Article Abstract:
The practice of enterally feeding hospitalized patients carries a risk of gastrointestinal and respiratory complications. Despite the advantages of enteral feeding over parenteral support, gastroesophageal reflux (GER) remains a major problem for many patients lying down, unless they are in a semi-reclining position and the tube placement is altered. To achieve gastric emptying without major drug side effects, cisapride may be superior to erythromycin, metoclopramide, and bethanechol.
