Comparing risks with unbounded distributions
Article Abstract:
Unstable convergence of distributions does not satisfy Rothschild and Stiglitz's representation of increasing risks with respect to probability distributions which are unbounded. Thus, the Rothschild and Stiglitz representation of increasing risk needs to incorporate a more well-qualified definition of convergence. Moreover, the evaluation of Landsberger and Meilijson's alternative version of increasing risk relative to 'v' provide additional evidence about risk characterization.
