Article Abstract:
The Apple Newton is one of the most well known pocket-computers, which allows the user to send faxes, write notes, and use the diary. The launch of the Newton has raised the question of how much do users want computers to manage their personal affairs. Other developments include Active Badges, which track a user around a building enabling messages and calls to be put through to the nearest extension. The personal computer revolution is discussed further.
