Forward-thinking industrialists in Europe are trying to develop alternate ways for using marijuana as a source of pain relief to the sick and the dying. However, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol when combined with the other naturally occurring chemicals in marijuana, it can be used to give relief to a host of maladies, nausea associated with chemotherapy, muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis, internal eye pressure from glaucoma, and the appetite loss that accompanies AIDS.
