Death's door

Henry Dempsey was piloting his small plane from Maine to Boston when he heard a strange sound coming from the cabin door. When he went back to check he was suddenly thrown outside the plane; his grip on the door stanchion was the only thing separating him from death. His co-pilot managed to land safely.
