First aid with AIDS

People who are giving help to accident victims can use safety precautions to avoid getting AIDS. First aid kits should be equipped with a mouth barrier device, thick gloves and dressings; and plastic goggles. Hands should be washed in hot, soapy water after the treatment.

Susan Gutfreund attended her first Chanel couture show in Paris in the 1960s and bought an original Patou gown in 1966. She wore the gown in 1981, 25 years later. One of the changes she has noticed from 30 years ago is that the ladies in the front row are much thinner.

Writer John C. Russell was a defender of gay relationships and considered these as not only intense but funny as well. He wrote plays on various subjects. He died of AIDS in 1994 at the age of 31.
