The Movile Cave in southern Romania features aquatic and terrestrial animals that have learned to adapt to the poorly-oxygenated and lightless environment rich in hydrogen sulfide. The living organisms in the underwater cave have lost sight and developed physical characteristics that help them survive.

The disease, lupus, is an autoimmune disease that is easy to misdiagnose due the symptoms it share with common diseases such as the flu or stress-related fatigue. An indicator for the disease is the antinuclear antibody levels in the blood, that may not be detected in the early stages of the disease.
