Article Abstract:
The nuclear disaster at Chernobyl, Russia that made the world sit up and talk about better safety regulations was an incident where animals in the area knew before the local residents staying just a few miles from the site. It was observed that bees behaved differently so did cows in the area while one could not find worms on the ground for days after the disaster.

Million-dollar mountains
Article Abstract:
Boy Scouts Troop 26 of Ferndale, WA, camped near Lone Jack Mine in the North Cascades and helped restore an historic cliffside trail once used by miners. The Scouts got the chance to help miners carry rocks bearing gold ore and were awarded the Historic Trails Award.
