The 219th birthday of the US on July 4, 1995 is an ideal time to remember the nation's veterans and their contributions to the country. Help for veterans can also be extended through eligibility reform, job opportunities and protecting prisoners of war and those considered missing in action.

Americans appreciate the sacrifice and efforts rendered by war veterans in pursuit of freedom. War movies such as 'Saving Private Ryan' depict the hardships and difficulties encountered by soldiers. Such movies allow viewers to look back and appreciate more the value of Veterans Day.

The unfinished business of World War II
Article Abstract:
The National World War II Memorial will finally be built after a design issue was put up in 1995. The memorial will be built on the Mall in Washington, DC. The strategic location will serve to remind the whole nation and future generations of the significance of World War II.
