Horror in Hecate Strait
Article Abstract:
Two fishing vessels, Gypsy Lass and Royal Pride, met turbulent waters near Hecate Strait along the northern-British Columbia coast. A coastguard cutter, Point Henry, went out for a rescue attempt, only to meet the same fate. A US Coast Guard helicopter was finally able to rescue all six survivors.

Lost in an arctic sea

Ten walrus hunters belonging to the Inuit tribe battled snow and freezing rain during a fierce storm in the arctic sea near Baffin Island. Pitseolak Alainga and Billy Kownirk managed to hold on to the wreckage of their boat, the only two who miraculously survived the incident.

Stranded on a frozen mountain

Veteran hiker Kirby Kinnon's climb of the Slalok Mountain in British Columbia nearly cost his life, if not for the heroic rescue made by pilot John Goats and David and Joan Dumaresq.Kirby survived due to his faith in God and the efforts of the rescuers.
