The experience of Edie Clark is presented who bought Mary's farm and hardly noticed the garage, which was once the pig shed. Clark describes the importance of a garage saying it is a very vital place wherein babies are born, cars are coddled, tractors are welcomed out of the weather, and though there are more luxurious garages he is happy for the shelter of this old pig shed.

Article Abstract:
The experience of watching northern lights, or aurora borealis, on a cold night is described. Northern lights are the result of explosions of a very huge magnitude and for us it is a silent, mystical pageant of great beauty, peace, and a great reminder of the existence of great mystery and the inherent benevolence of the night sky.

Mary's farm: The rhubarb patch
Article Abstract:
Edgar was an old farmer who owned a marginal farm where he kept a big patch of rhubarb which attracted many eager pickers in the picking season. After his death in 1978, his house fell to ruin as the heirs fought for ownership, but a young couple who came to stay in the farmhouse revived its old world charm sans rhubarbs.
