How to analyze outcome measurements
Article Abstract:
Behavioral health outcome measurements coming from medical care service groups must be interpreted with considerations given to evaluation technique, population sample and basic definitions used for the measurement. Due to the lack of a standardized measurement scale, studies can be interpreted differently depending on several factors and can be made to reflect virtually any kind of outcome desired by the reporting group. It is suggested that firms looking for a health program service company evaluate such measurements in accordance with the definitions, methods, and samples used by the service provider. A practical evaluation of the measurement is to determine what its uses would be for the health care and operations personnel and if it really is used that way by the clients of the managed care organizations. This is an indicator of the quality level of the program.

Cost-effective R&D
Article Abstract:
The corporate research and development (R&D) team is responsible for turning theories and ideas into actual products. However, unrealistic or dead-end projects are the major contributors to R&D development costs over-runs. Thus, one way to improve the efficiency of the R&D team is to selectonly the projects most likely to succeed. This requires the commitment and cooperation of the entire upper management level. One estimate of current statistics show that only 20% of undertaken projects produce profitable products. The total commitment of the company is necessary for improving such performance.
