Prisoners of biology: in Nepal, there's no abortion debate, just a life sentence
Article Abstract:
Nepalese women are an unfortunate lot, especially if they become pregnant because of rape or miscarry a child since abortion or infanticide is a crime and can mean 20 years in jail, while men who murder receive sentences of 10 years. Efforts to improve family planning are described.

Article Abstract:
A hermaphrodite recounts how she had suffered since adolescence of not knowing her true sexual identity. She felt she had been deprived of a full life because she was not aware of the real issue. She feels that she would have been happier if she had remained a hermaphrodite.
