Midwest photographers with hard-won experience and intuitive vision are expert at coaxing into the subtle textures of people, land, lakes and sky. Some of these photographers like Layne Kennedy from South Dakota, Mark Katzman from St, Louis, John Nolter of Minnesota, and Gayle Harper from Missouri share their stories of how they framed some of their best shots.

The two sides of fear
Article Abstract:
One of the most dreaded emotions known to man has always been fear and after the terror attacks of September 2001 Americans more than all others have been consumed by fear. It is suggested that to overcome fears one must have the courage to face fear without running away from it and seven ways in which one can use fear to our advantage are suggested.
