Osteoporosis: Men break bones, too
Article Abstract:
About 2 million men suffer from osteoporosis, which is termed as a silent disease because no symptoms appear until a bone breaks. No cure exists for osteoporosis, but several medications are available to prevent or treat the condition, like alendronate, which reduces the rate of bone breakdown in older women.
