Doug and Catherine Niedt own 3.5 acres of land with a two-story French Norman-style house and have created the English garden look, by transforming the grounds using a formal design, but a softer appearance A formal design with a slightly looser look for garden can be acquired by using symmetry, focal points, curving lines and geometry.

The floral foam, a dark green water absorbent used for floral arrangement is always covered up in floral arrangements. Oasis Rainbow foam, which is found in bright, colors and created by Smithers-Oasis of Kent, Ohio, has opened up new ways to design fresh flowers at home without hiding the foam.
