Electronic media shifts people's concept of hero from larger-than-life figures to 'normal' or even inferior people. Heroes today are the celebrities known for their personality and image. They are the public figures of every race, culture or religious group who fail to unite people.

A host of serious problems plague the national parks of the US, thus threatening their continued existence. Some of the problems besetting the country's park system are air and water pollution, burgeoning crime, crowding and inadequate funds.
