Mexico and drugs
Article Abstract:
The drugs trade acts as a substantial barrier to mutually beneficial trading links between California and Mexico. California has a unique economic relationship with Mexico, and would therefore be very vulnerable if the Clinton administration were to adopt a negative stance towards Mexico. Nevertheless, California Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein has been very critical of the administration's positive assessment of Mexico's anti-drugs efforts.
