Can Schwarzenegger become "The Collectinator?
Article Abstract:
The ability of Governor Schwarzenegger to make better his campaign promise of getting more money from Washington is discussed. Changes in funding formulas by getting Congress to cooperate and convincing powerful lawmakers standing to lose money for California getting a larger share are the ways to be adopted by the governor to achieve success.

Are political conventions old news?
Article Abstract:
California Attorney General Bill Lockyer feels that political conventions are unnecessary after attending Democratic national convention in Boston in July 2004. Diana Owen, an associate professor in Georgetown University for political science states that its harsh to say that political conventions are useless.
