Electric strikes back
Article Abstract:
Products from the field of electric strikes are back once again after a declined in recent years. For instance, Rutherford Controls of Virginia Beach, VA, recently introduced a Windows-based software program that aids the user in choosing the right strike for specific applications. Called the "First Strike," it enables users to immediately select the right strike for the needed application. The user just inputs the information and the program displays which electric strikes are best suited for that application, according to Tracey Rutherford, vice president of operations of Rutherford. Likewise, Locknetics of Forestville, CT, now offers different kinds of electromechanical strikes, including a CM9100 SmartEntry, which is reportedly the first stand-alone, fully programmable, heavy-duty strike.
