Employment separation and health insurance coverage
Article Abstract:
Job separation results in significant reduction in insurance coverage as reduction in insurance coverage becomes more dramatic as non-employment period increases. The probability of having insurance after leaving a job becomes higher by 6.7% whenever state policies requiring continued access to employer-provided health insurance are implemented. Such state policies are also associated with high incidence of job separation and of time spent jobless.

How elastic is the firm's demand for health insurance?
Article Abstract:
The study focuses on the difficulties of the previous literature by drawing on an excellent data source that provides high quality information on insurance offering, insurance spending, and information on the distribution of characteristics of workers in each firm. The study concluded that the majority of the impact of changes in tax policy towards health insurance would be on the level of spending on insurance, not on firm provision of insurance.

How has small group market reform affected employee health insurance
Article Abstract:
The effect of reform on the likelihood, that workers are offered insurance, have employment based coverage, or are policy holders of an employment based plan is discussed. Differences-in differences (DD) and differences-in-differences-indifferences (DDD), are used to evaluate the differential effects of alternative reform measures, on high and low risk workers.
