Federal Reserve credibility and inflation scares
Article Abstract:
Inflation scares may occur when the US Federal Reserve shows the absence of credibility and the public's faith on the Federal Reserve's commitment to maintaining low inflation in the future deteriorates. Moreover, inflation scares will continue to occur so long as the public assumes that a variable and high inflation environment will in the future be experienced in the US. A legislation that aims to improve the credibility of the Federal Reserve by requiring the agency to emphasize price stability as the major goal is needed in addressing the problem.

The effects of industry employment shifts on the U.S. wage structure, 1979-1995
Article Abstract:
An investigation of wage inequality shifts was done as the US moved from goods-producing to service-producing economic modes. A statistical technique, called conditionally weighted density estimation, was used to analyze the effects of the employment shifts on the distribution of earnings that is contingent on changes in other earnings related factors. Results show that earnings inequality was higher for service-producing workers and that industry employment shifts do little to attenuate the effects of earnings inequality.

Modeling the time-series behavior of the aggregate wage rate
Article Abstract:
Productivity, wages and prices are interrelated factors, as indicated by the time-series behavior model. Real wage and marginal product of labor become dependent of each other when companies adopt the profit-maximizing strategy in employment. An analysis of the interrelatedness of productivity, wages and prices could explain the impact of unemployment rate on wages and the effect of wage on price.
