Governor
Article Abstract:
Democrat Gray Davis won the recent election for governor of California by a margin of 58% over the 38% garnered by his rival Republican Dan Lungren. Davis' victory was attributed to his methodological and efficient campaign and the image which he was able to project during the campaign. Davis was perceived as comforting and self-confident while Lungren was seen arrogant. Davis maintained a centrist position on many important issues while Lungren refused to sugar-coat his heavily conservative ideals.
