Homeowners, property values, and the political economy of the school voucher
Article Abstract:
Examining the possibility of potential gains and losses that may influence voting on voucher initiatives, particularly for homeowners without school children is discussed. For homeowners without school children, the probability of voting for the voucher was 39% if they lived in neighborhoods with superior public schools and 56% if they lived in neighborhoods with inferior schools.

Capitalization and community size
Article Abstract:
Communities are measured in terms of both school districts and municipalities. The rate of capitalization of crime and school quality is weaker for large communities, irrespective of whether communities are measured in terms of school districts or municipalities.

Capitalization and voucher: an analysis of precinct returns from California,s proposition 174
Article Abstract:
The results of a study indicates that voters in good public school districts were less probable to vote in favor of the voucher initiative. It also states that school district quality played a role in the results of proposition 174.
