Article Abstract:
An overview is presented on the decline of the Republican Party's influence in California, and various perspectives from party leaders about what can be done. The article concludes that gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger may offer an opportunity to change the party's image in the public eye.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger had not done anything for the California Republic Party but the party had lots to thank him for winning the election. He had also infused new optimism into the Republican Party.
