It's what you know: US universities strive to compete in knowledge-based economy
Article Abstract:
The US is lagging behind compared to other countries in terms of developing skilled and knowledgeable workers. An increase in the US government's investment in public universities is recommended to slow down tuition fee increases and to gain affordability and accessibility. The College Cost Reduction and Access Act would increase the Pell Grants and reduce interest rates, but these reforms only scratch the surface according to some studies.
