Sendai officials in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan hosted a discussion in November 2007, with senior state executives and public policy experts on from the U.S. and Canada talking about the issues on city's plan to be a high technology hub like Silicon Valley. Human capital development for the industry and Miyagi's sister-state partnership with Delaware are discussed.

Southern States face growing aging inmate population
Article Abstract:
A report of the Council of State Governments about the increase in the number of elderly people imprisoned for offenses is discussed. The issue of presence of a large number of such inmates in the Southern States is also discussed.
