Production efficiency and the design of temporary investment incentives
Article Abstract:
An investment tax credit model is constructed for any selected time-varying path of the credit rate on a selected asset with no adjustment costs, in order to calculate the credit path rate on any other asset that is compatible with effective output. The model also illustrates that credit path rates for temporary investment tax credit should be much closer to uniform than traditional theory dictates.
