San Francisco
Article Abstract:
The unprecedented economic and technological growth of San Francisco, CA has its consequent adverse social impact. Despite the abundance of lucrative job opportunities, only a portion of its residents have benefited from them. An estimated 85% of residents have no access to computers, tools which are deemed necessary to compete in the computer software and hardware industries. Public services, which target the poor, such as park maintenance and mass transportation suffer. Similarly, the number of homeless people are on the rise due to restrictive costs of residential properties.
