Trauma care: is the crisis bad? Or, is there a crisis at all?
Article Abstract:
Trauma centers take care of medical emergencies and the closure of such centers triggers concern from different sectors. However, analysts note that although several Los Angeles trauma centers closed down, the county still has more than enough left to serve its people. Trauma centers may experience financial difficulties but they may also be profitable ventures. An effective trauma care system will require careful planning and establishing trauma districts which would provide adequate services and generate enough funds for its continued operations.
