UFW: Faded glory?
Article Abstract:
Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers led strikes, boycotts, fasts and 300-mile marches that galvanized the nation and rallied support for the plight of farm workers in the 1960s and '70s. Its membership has shrunk to drastically low levels but it's migrated into new kinds of organizing and activism, from low-income housing to Spanish-language radio stations.
