Valuing the consumption benefits from professional sports franchises
Article Abstract:
The traditional argument that professional sports stadiums generate more employment and economic growth than their original cost is not supportable. Professional sports teams appear to have negligible effect on local earnings and employment.

Proximity benefits and voting on stadium and arena subsidies
Article Abstract:
A study on people's views on providing subsidies for sport facilities is discussed. It is revealed that people prefer subsidies only when the facilities are nearer to their region.
