A model of demand for effective care
Article Abstract:
A micro-economic model has been developed for analyzing the relationship between ineffective health care and the costs of waste associated with health insurance. The model was designed based on the assumption that the health care system is imperfect and that the consumers are well-informed about their health benefits. Its applicability has been demonstrated through the measurements of the parameters that affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the health care system.

The uncertain demand for medical care: a comment on Emmett Keeler
Article Abstract:
Emmett Keeler failed to consider several important factors when he formulated his model for explaining the relationship between ineffective health care and the wastes associated with health insurance overuse. Keeler failed to take into account the fact that the demand function can be explained by other multi-dimensional parametrizations of uncertainty other than the state of information.
