More docs to pick from
Article Abstract:
The Kaiser Foundation Health Plan has begun to allow its enrollees in North Carolina to choose from the physicians in its clinics and 2,000 community doctors in the cities of Durham, Raleigh, Charlotte and Chapel Hill. The health maintenance organization has used this technique in other states in order to increase its enrollment. This technique was chosen because of several polls which have found consumers want to choose their own doctors.
