From theory to practice: community health nursing in a public health neighborhood team
Article Abstract:
An interdisciplinary health team of 6 public health nurses, a social worker, a nutritionist, a health educator, a community mobilizer, 2 community health outreach workers, an office assistant and a program manager was formed to improve public health practice. Team results demonstrated increased effectiveness and methods to build community capacity.

Nursing in a technological world: searching for healing communities
Article Abstract:
Research in acute care nursing and the philosophy of technology has disclosed technological practices that threaten ecological restoration and health care. Where health care systems do not appropriately match resources for care with treatment options, nurses must develop ecological literacy that addresses a technological world.
