Hospital inefficiency: what is the impact of membership in different types of systems?
Article Abstract:
The impacts of membership in various forms of hospital systems, such as independent system, on inefficiency of hospitals are investigated. It was revealed that membership in independent hospital systems is related to increased inefficiency. Cost inefficiency in hospitals that are members of other hospital systems such as centralized and decentralized systems, is also discussed.
