Public reporting and pay-for-performance: safety-net hospital executives' concerns and policy suggestions
Article Abstract:
The study was conducted to examine the concerns of Safety-net hospital (SNH) administrators on public reporting and pay-for-performance, which are practiced to improve services and measure performance. SNHs provide health care services to low-income individuals. Results show that financial limitations hinder the accurate measurement of hospitals' performance.
