The accuracy of reported insurance status in the MEPS
Article Abstract:
The United States Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality conducted a survey on the level of accuracy in reporting private insurance and uninsurance by the respondents. Regression analysis was used to assess the factors associated with disagreements in reports. Details of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey Household Component (MEPS-HC) are presented.

The State Children's Health Insurance Program has been lauded for its success in providing health insurance benefits to low-income children. However, plans to expand the program's coverage to middle-class children and their parents have given rise to debates. Roles of the public and private sectors in health care reform are discussed.
