A comparison of UK and US mortality outcomes
Article Abstract:
A comparative study of mortality rates in England and Wales and the US were undertaken for the period 1974-2000 on all-cause and cancer mortality rates. Overall rates fell in all three countries but there was a more significant drop in England and Wales over the period and improvements in cancer death rates were significantly greater in England and Wales than the US.

Understanding the nature of cancer-related fatigue
Article Abstract:
Fatigue is a nebulous concept, which is considered to be one of the most frequently reported symptoms in patients with cancer and is also a consequence of anticancer treatment. Fatigue management strategies can be categorized into three stages that include treating underlying causes of fatigue, treating fatigue directly and managing the consequences of fatigue.

Managing cancer-related fatigue in palliative care
Article Abstract:
Cancer-related fatigue is the most frequently experienced symptom in palliative care patients suffering from cancer and has profound effect on their quality of life. Assessment and management of this complex and distressing symptom in patients with advanced cancer are explored.
