A compelling research agenda
Article Abstract:
The study of minority health issues is a challenging and relevant field of research. Recent studies have shown that race plays a significant role in breast cancer survival rates and the risk for diabetes mellitus. Studies like these have highlighted the need to critically examine the role that race, in the form of genetics, social class, culture, and interactions with health care professionals, plays in the health of these populations. National task forces formed to document racial health issues have helped to inspire and support critical scientific studies in this field of research.

Washington pump island
Article Abstract:

In 1973, the FTC issued a complaint charging several oil companies with a range of anticompetitive practices. Dismissal of the case against the companies makes uncertain the Administration's intentions of enforcing the antitrust laws vigorously.
