A guide to regulation of blood gases: Part three
Article Abstract:
Studies reveal that nurses need to know the degree to which blood gases vary between normal limits and how the body compensates for acute and chronic changes. Arterial blood gases (ABGs) provide information about the patient's respiratory and metabolic status, and examples of how ABG results assist in the diagnosis and management of illness are discussed in three case studies.
