A young woman with chest pain
Article Abstract:
A case study of a young woman with chest pains illustrates the need to consider risk factors and medical history when assessing coronary heart disease in premenopausal women. The 30-year-old woman was originally misdiagnosed when health professionals failed to consider her diabetes and smoking history. An electrocardiogram upon her return visit offers the diagnosis of a myocardial infarction probably brought on by smoking and her diabetic condition.
